Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 22 Jul 2026

vpnfin.com is an independent, reader-supported website. This page explains how we make money, in plain language.

How we earn money

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This means that if you click a link to a VPN provider and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from that provider, through affiliate networks such as Impact.com and CJ Affiliate.

This is the only way this site makes money. We do not accept payments for positive reviews, we do not publish sponsored posts disguised as reviews, and no VPN company can pay us to change a rating.

What this means for you

  • You never pay more by using our links. The price is exactly the same as if you visited the provider’s website directly. In some cases, our links include exclusive discounts.
  • Commissions do not influence our opinions. Our rankings and reviews are based on our own testing and research. We regularly criticize products we earn commissions from, and we recommend some services that pay us nothing.
  • We only recommend VPNs we would use ourselves.

Why we disclose this

We believe in the same principle we judge VPN companies by: transparency. This disclosure also complies with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR, Part 255).
