NordVPN vs Hide Expert VPN compares a heavily audited provider with an app about which little is known. NordVPN has 6 audits in our table; Hide Expert’s developer, 4K-SOFT LTD, gives no country, and we found no tests.
The comparison is mostly about evidence. This guide sets out what each offers and what remains unknown. Our Hide Expert VPN review covers the second service in depth.
NordVPN vs Hide Expert VPN on Audits
Our audit table records 6 NordVPN audits by PwC and Deloitte, which gives its privacy claims a long paper trail.
Hide Expert VPN has no independent audit or test that we could find, and its developer, 4K-SOFT LTD, gives no country. On proof, there is no contest.
Short Mobile Plans
Hide Expert sells plans inside its app from $3.99 a week, its App Store listing shows, with two price tiers for longer plans.
NordVPN’s plans run monthly, yearly and two-yearly, without a weekly option. For a quick test, its 30-day refund window does a similar job.
Speed
In CNET’s tests, NordVPN kept all but 2.9% of the base connection speed, according to our speed table.
We found no independent speed tests of Hide Expert VPN. NordVPN has published speed results; Hide Expert has none.
Two-Year Cost
Our tables put NordVPN Basic at $94.23 for its first 27 months, roughly $3.49 a month, with renewal at $139.08 a year and $14.99 on monthly billing.
Hide Expert costs $3.99 a week or $7.99 a month, with yearly plans at $47.99 or $79.99 in the App Store. NordVPN costs less per month on long plans.
Free Use and Devices
NordVPN allows 10 devices and has no free plan, though a card-backed 7-day trial runs in 15 countries, according to our refund table.
Hide Expert has no free plan, and its listing does not state a device limit clearly. NordVPN states its device limit clearly.
Jurisdiction and Ownership
NordVPN’s base is Panama, and its parent, Nord Security, also owns Surfshark.
4K-SOFT LTD develops Hide Expert, according to the App Store, without naming a country. NordVPN names its owner and base; Hide Expert does not name a country.

NordVPN’s apps ship with a kill switch and Threat Protection, which blocks known malicious sites. Our NordVPN kill switch guide explains both.
Hide Expert’s listing promises no stored history, but it names no protocols and no kill switch.
Platforms and Support

For protocols, NordVPN offers NordLynx, built on WireGuard, and OpenVPN; our NordVPN Netflix guide covers how it handles streaming.
Hide Expert’s listing does not name its protocols, and we found no streaming tests. NordVPN has published streaming results; Hide Expert has none we could find.
Which Is Better Value?
