This FirstVPN review covers a VPN run by Wergames OÜ, an Estonian company named as the trademark owner on FirstVPN’s About page. It offers servers in more than 30 countries and an unusually wide choice of connection types.
We found no independent speed tests or audits, so this review analyses the official pricing, features and policy statements. We also flag a look-alike app with a similar name.
FirstVPN Review: Is It Worth It in 2026?
It may suit you if you want WireGuard alongside proxy options such as SOCKS5 and HTTP, with a short trial before you pay. Estonia sits outside the Five, Nine and Fourteen Eyes groups.
However, privacy rests on the company’s word. FirstVPN says it does not log activity, but no outside firm has checked that.
A named company in an EU country also gives you a clearer route for complaints than an anonymous app would. That counts in its favour.
What FirstVPN Costs
According to FirstVPN’s pricing page, one month costs $8.99. Six months costs $37.99, or $6.33 a month, with one month added free.
A year costs $61.99, or $5.17 a month, with two months free. Two years costs $82.99, or $3.46 a month, with three months free. Every plan includes a three-day trial, and FirstVPN accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cryptocurrency.

The bonus months make longer plans better value, but check what the plan renews at afterwards. Renewal prices often differ from the first term.
Cryptocurrency payment adds a layer of privacy at checkout. However, your account still links to an email address, so payment is only one part of anonymity.
Connection Options: The Reason People Choose It
Each plan includes HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies alongside OpenVPN, WireGuard, IKEv2 and L2TP, the pricing page says. That flexibility suits people who configure routers, apps or browsers individually.
Proxies hide your IP but do not encrypt traffic the way a VPN does, as our guide to VPNs versus proxies explains. Use WireGuard or OpenVPN for full protection.
FirstVPN lists 1 Gbit/s server connections and locations across Europe, Asia, Oceania and North America.
SOCKS5 suits torrent clients and some apps that support proxies natively. It changes your visible IP but leaves traffic unencrypted, so treat it as a convenience, not protection.
IKEv2 handles switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data well, which suits phones. WireGuard remains the best everyday choice for speed and security.
What We Noticed on the Site
The pricing page headline reads “only $NaN a month”, a sign of a broken script. It is a small flaw, but it hints at limited upkeep.
There is also a naming clash: an Android app called firstVPN, from a developer named First Dream, appeared on Google Play in April 2026 with about 140 downloads, AppBrain reports. It is a different product.

Small errors on a pricing page do not affect the VPN itself. However, they suggest checking the final price at checkout before you pay.
If you search for FirstVPN in app stores, check the developer name, since the look-alike app is easy to install by mistake.
Privacy and Jurisdiction
FirstVPN states that it does not log internet activity and has nothing to share if asked. Estonia is an EU member outside the Fourteen Eyes, as our Five Eyes guide explains.
No independent audit backs the no-logs claim. Our VPN audit tracker lists providers that have one.
⚠️ Avoid L2TP and proxies for privacy. Both are available, but WireGuard and OpenVPN offer stronger protection. Our protocol guide covers the differences.
Estonia has strong digital-government services and EU data rules, which apply to the company. Those rules also give you rights to request the data held about you.
Speed and Streaming
We found no independent speed or streaming tests. Use the three-day trial to test your own connection and services.
Our streaming VPN guide lists providers with published streaming results.

The pricing page lists 1 Gbit/s server connections, which sets an upper limit rather than a guaranteed speed. Real speed depends on distance and load.
Test a nearby server and a distant one during the trial, and note the drop compared with your normal speed.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
If you need audited privacy, choose a provider from our no-logs VPN guide. For simple router setups, our router setup guide covers options.
If you need streaming results you can rely on, choose a provider with published tests, since we found none for FirstVPN.

How We Research
For this FirstVPN review, we read FirstVPN’s pricing page and the About page on 21 October 2026, plus ZoomInfo’s company profile and AppBrain’s listing of the look-alike app. We found no independent tests or audit. Our scores weigh speed, security and privacy, streaming, price and ease of use equally. We do not run our own tests. Our full approach lives on the About Us page.

FirstVPN
Flexible and fairly priced, unproven
FirstVPN offers WireGuard, OpenVPN and proxy options, three-day trials and two-year pricing from $3.46 a month, from an Estonian company. Against that: no audit, no independent tests and signs of limited site upkeep.
The Verdict
Our FirstVPN review finds a flexible, fairly priced service with a named Estonian company behind it.
Use the trial to test it, and choose WireGuard. For confidential use, an audited provider is still safer.
