NymVPN Price: The Short Answer

NymVPN costs $12.99 a month on a monthly plan, or as little as $2.39 a month after Nym’s price cut. Paying in NYM tokens takes 50% off, and refunds are pro-rated within 30 days.

Every Plan and What It Costs

Nym’s support page lists three plans: one month at $12.99, one year at $6.99 a month billed $83.88, and two years at $5.49 a month billed $131.76.

Nym later lowered prices, and its blog says plans now start from $2.39 a month. Check the checkout for the current figure, since the support page may lag behind.

NymVPN price: every plan, with its cost and what it includes

Pre-paying for a year or two cuts the monthly cost by more than half compared with the one-month plan. Shorter plans suit testing, longer ones regular use.

Renewal and Long-Term Cost

Pre-paid plans renew at the price shown at the time unless you cancel, so note the renewal date. Our VPN renewal price guide shows how renewals compare across providers.

Free Plan or Trial

NymVPN offers a free trial rather than a permanent free plan, its blog says. Early versions were free during testing, Nym noted on Privacy Guides, but paid plans now apply.

Refunds

Refunds are pro-rated within 30 days, Tom’s Guide and VPNCentral report. If you cancel after 10 days, you get back the remaining 20 days rather than the full price.

Pro-rated refunds are fairer than a fixed window for people who change their minds late. You never lose the unused part of your plan within 30 days.

What the Price Includes

Every plan includes Fast and Anonymous modes, all locations, anonymous payment and up to 10 devices, VPNCentral reports. You can sign up without an email address.

Two connection modes in one subscription means you can switch between privacy and speed without paying twice.

What It Does Not Cover

The price does not include faster speeds in Anonymous mode, which remains slow by design. Streaming is also inconsistent, PCWorld found.

How NymVPN’s Price Compares

After its price cut, NymVPN costs about the same as mainstream VPNs on long plans, while adding a mixnet they lack. Our price table puts the mainstream alternatives in a narrow band on two-year terms: PIA near $2.03 a month, Proton VPN near $2.99, and Nord Security’s Surfshark and NordVPN near $2.49 and $3.49.

Payment Methods

Nym accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and several cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Lightning and Monero, its support page says. NYM tokens give a 50% discount.

Crypto payments keep your bank details away from the VPN. Combined with sign-up without an email, they allow a highly anonymous account.

Which Plan to Choose

If privacy matters most, pay in Monero or NYM tokens for anonymity and the discount. For a trial run, the monthly plan limits your commitment, and pro-rated refunds soften the risk.

If you are unsure about the mixnet’s speed, the monthly plan is a low-risk test thanks to pro-rated refunds.

Who Should Pay for NymVPN

Pay for NymVPN if you need metadata privacy that ordinary VPNs cannot offer, for example as a journalist or activist.

Is NymVPN Worth the Price?

For anyone who needs metadata privacy, NymVPN is worth the price, since few services offer a mixnet at all. For streaming, you pay for features you will rarely use.

Price per Device

Every plan covers up to 10 devices, VPNCentral reports, so a household that fills them pays only a few cents per device a month on long plans.

That makes NymVPN a good fit for families or small teams.

The Cheapest Way to Get NymVPN

The cheapest route combines a long plan with payment in NYM tokens, which halves the price according to Nym’s support page.

Taxes and Currency

Expect the final bill to include VAT or sales tax in many countries. App stores show tax-inclusive prices, while websites often add tax at the last step.

Coupons and Deals

Nym’s own price cut is the main deal. The NYM token discount is the largest saving if you already hold the token.
