Looking for an IPVanish free trial 30 days long? The real trial runs seven days and comes through the app stores, Tom’s Guide and VPNOverview report. Start a yearly plan in the iPhone App Store or Google Play, and nothing is charged if you cancel before the week ends. What many guides call a 30-day free trial is really IPVanish’s 30-day money-back guarantee. It covers yearly and two-year plans bought on its website, and it means paying first.
This guide covers how the store trial works step by step, what happens when it ends, the 30-day refund and which to use.
How the Seven-Day Trial Works
The trial applies to yearly plans bought through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, VPNOverview reports. You enter payment details in the store, use IPVanish free for seven days, and the yearly subscription starts unless you cancel first.
Tom’s Guide notes there is no direct trial on other operating systems. TechRepublic found the trial account also signs in on a desktop, though, so one trial covers a laptop too.

Starting the IPVanish Free Trial
On iPhone, install IPVanish from the App Store, open it and choose the yearly plan with the free trial; confirm with Face ID or your password. On Android, install from Google Play and start the trial the same way.
Sign in on your other devices with the same account, using the email and password you created. Our IPVanish iPhone guide and IPVanish for Android guide cover setup on each phone.

Cancelling Before Day Seven
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose IPVanish and cancel. On Android, open Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the trial, and neither does signing out of it.
Depending on the store, cancelling a trial can end access straight away, so finish testing first and cancel a day before the trial ends. Set a reminder the day you start, for day six.
What Happens When the Trial Ends
If you do not cancel, the store charges the yearly price and the subscription continues for the full year. Refunds for that charge go through Apple or Google, not IPVanish, since the 30-day website guarantee does not cover store purchases, VPNOverview notes.
Store prices may differ from the website’s $57.22 for 24 months or $43.54 for a year. Yearly plans then renew at $89.99, VPNOverview lists. Our IPVanish price guide lists the website plans.
Is There an IPVanish Free Trial 30 Days Long?
Buying a yearly or two-year plan on ipvanish.com gives 30 days to ask for your money back, for new users. Monthly plans are not covered, and the guarantee applies to new users. Top10VPN says refunds arrive automatically within 10 business days; SafetyDetectives had to ask support.
Our IPVanish refund guide walks through claiming it, and our IPVanish free guide compares every route.
Trial on a Laptop or TV
Sign in with the trial account on a laptop, and TechRepublic found it works there too, even though the trial began on a phone. IPVanish’s TV apps on Fire TV, Vega OS and Apple TV use the same account. The week can cover the living room as well.
Since IPVanish sets no device limit, test every device you plan to use during the week. Our IPVanish Firestick guide covers the TV apps.
Common Trial Mistakes
The guides we read point to three usual errors. People delete the app instead of cancelling, cancel on the website after subscribing in a store, or expect the 30-day refund to cover a store purchase.
Check your receipt email to see where you paid, then cancel there and keep the confirmation. Our guide to cancelling IPVanish shows each route.
IPVanish Free Trial 30 Days or Seven: Which to Use
Use the seven-day trial for a quick, no-charge test on a phone and a laptop together. It suits anyone who only needs a VPN for a short trip. Use the 30-day refund for a longer test across a whole household, including TVs, at the website’s lower price. The refund needs a message to support to be safe.
Either way, test streaming, speeds and every device you plan to use, and note what fails. VPNOverview reached major streaming services, while VPNpro found IPVanish’s streaming inconsistent.

What You Can Test
The trial gives the full service: unlimited devices, WireGuard, the kill switch, split tunnelling and the SOCKS5 proxy, on servers IPVanish owns. Top10VPN measured about 93 Mbps on a 100 Mbps line on nearby servers. Check speeds at the hours you usually stream or download, on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
If you need a VPN free for longer than a week, Proton VPN Free has no data cap, as our free VPN trial guide explains.
How We Research
This page draws on Tom’s Guide’s, VPNOverview’s, TechRepublic’s, Top10VPN’s and SafetyDetectives’ IPVanish reviews and refund guides and our IPVanish tables. We cross-checked these sources against each other, and where they conflict or something can’t be verified, we say so in the text rather than guessing. We checked time-sensitive figures, including prices in US dollars, on 8 October 2026. The main source we relied on is VPNOverview’s IPVanish review. Our full approach lives on the About Us page.
