Is IceVPN safe? It is a legitimate service, not a scam, Cloudwards concludes. Ice Privacy LTD, a registered Gibraltar company in the same family as Icedrive, runs it.

Is IceVPN Safe? No Audit
State of Surveillance’s IceVPN review found no independent audit of IceVPN’s infrastructure or logging policy anywhere.

A Gibraltar Company
Ice Privacy LTD is registered in Gibraltar, State of Surveillance reports, with an address at the World Trade Center there. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory with its own laws.

Security Tools
IceVPN supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPSec, Cloudwards reports. Pro adds a kill switch and split tunnelling on supported devices, plus ad and tracker blocking.
DNS requests go through IceVPN’s own servers to prevent leaks, its knowledge base says.
Manual connect lets you use WireGuard or OpenVPN profiles on routers, which extends protection to devices without an app.
Weak Points
State of Surveillance found the network partly rented and the refund terms in conflict with the marketing. Its knowledge base also confirms a mix of virtual and physical servers.
Look-alike apps use similar names, so installing the wrong one is a real risk. The genuine app lists Ice Privacy Ltd as the developer.
Rented servers are common across the industry, but they add a third party with physical access. That is why audits matter more for young providers.

Turn on the kill switch where your device supports it, and use WireGuard for everyday browsing. Check the developer name before installing.
On the free plan, watch the 20 GB allowance and reconnect promptly if a session ends.

State of Surveillance found the refund terms contradict the marketing, so read them carefully and save a copy before paying for Pro.

Is IceVPN safe enough for you? For light browsing on the free plan, yes. For sensitive work, wait for an audit or choose an established provider.
