The problem: Bancolombia, Davivienda and similar services restrict access by geography. Log in from Madrid or Miami and you may find the app refuses to work, or demands verification you can’t complete.

⚠️ The caveat nobody mentions. Banks run fraud-detection systems that watch for location anomalies. A connection that appears in Bogotá while your card was used in Madrid yesterday can itself trigger a security hold — the opposite of what you wanted.
If you’re going to do this: use it consistently rather than switching back and forth, connect to the same Colombian city each time, and be prepared for the bank to ask for verification. Some institutions treat VPN use as a policy matter in their own terms, so check yours.
