Is OrionVPN safe? The first question is which OrionVPN you mean. We found at least four unrelated Android apps with the name, from different developers, and a separate orionvpn.net service that has shut down.

We found no audit or independent test of the OrionVPN app at orionvpn.com. OrionVPN’s Google Play listing promises no browsing logs, but nobody outside the developer has checked that.

The Google Play listing gives info@orionvpn.com and dev@orionvpn.com as contacts but does not name the company in the text we read. Other Orion VPN apps list a company in Guangzhou, China, and other developers.

The app offers one-tap connection, a pause button and an optional dedicated IP. Data is encrypted in transit, its Google Play data safety section says.
A dedicated IP gives you a fixed address, which helps with work logins but makes you easier to recognise online.
