DAZN ExpressVPN results are among the strongest we have seen. Top10VPN tested 59 VPNs with DAZN and found only two, ExpressVPN and Windscribe, opened all nine of the most popular regional libraries, from the 12 it checked. ExpressVPN’s Barcelona server worked best for DAZN Spain, and speeds stayed well above the 8 Mbps DAZN needs for HD.
This guide covers the test results, which servers to try, why DAZN sometimes needs a refresh, MediaStreamer’s limits and fixes.
What Top10VPN Found
Most of the 59 VPNs Top10VPN tested failed to get past DAZN’s detection. ExpressVPN and Windscribe worked across all nine popular regions in its summary table, which covered libraries such as DAZN Spain, Canada and Germany.
Speeds dropped by about 5% into Canada and 13% into Germany, comfortably enough for Full HD. Our DAZN VPN guide compares other providers.

Which Server to Pick for DAZN ExpressVPN Streaming
Connect to a city in the country whose DAZN library you subscribe to. For Spain, Top10VPN found Barcelona most effective; for other regions, start with the capital or largest city and try a second city if the first fails.
ExpressVPN has no streaming-labelled servers, since its whole network handles streaming, so choose by location rather than server type.
Refresh Before Giving Up
Top10VPN often had to refresh DAZN’s website or app a couple of times before the region changed, with both ExpressVPN and Windscribe. It put that down to DAZN rather than the VPN.
Close the DAZN app fully, reconnect, and reopen it before trying another server. On a browser, a hard reload or a private window does the same job.

MediaStreamer Is Not the Answer
ExpressVPN’s MediaStreamer smart DNS helps devices without VPN apps, but Top10VPN found it is not useful for DAZN, because it only unblocks UK and US services.
On a TV or console, use a router running ExpressVPN instead, or ExpressVPN’s app where the device supports it. Our Smart DNS vs VPN guide explains the difference.

When DAZN Still Blocks You, and Live Sport
Check that ExpressVPN’s Network Lock is on, run an IP and WebRTC leak test, and try again, VPNAlert’s checklist suggests. A leak shows DAZN your real country even with the VPN running. If the app still fails, the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox or Edge is worth a try.
Our WebRTC leak guide covers that browser leak.
Live boxing and football punish buffering more than films do. Use Lightway, ExpressVPN’s default, a nearby city in the right country and a wired connection where possible. Start the stream a few minutes before kick-off so any region check is out of the way.
Our sports streaming VPN guide covers other services.
Why Regional Libraries Differ
DAZN buys sports rights country by country, so its Spanish, Canadian and German services carry different leagues and fights. Top10VPN tested 12 regional libraries and summarised nine popular ones.
Pick the regional library that matches your own subscription; switching countries rarely adds rights you have not paid for, and the terms may forbid it.
Windscribe as an Alternative
Windscribe was the only other VPN that opened all nine regions in Top10VPN’s DAZN test, and it also needed the occasional refresh. It is cheaper, with Pro at $69 a year, but its refund window is seven business days rather than 30 days.
Our Windscribe refund guide explains its shorter refund rules.
DAZN on TVs and Consoles
DAZN’s apps on Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV can run through ExpressVPN’s app on those devices. Consoles and TVs without apps need a router running ExpressVPN, since MediaStreamer does not help with DAZN.
Our ExpressVPN Fire Stick guide and PS5 guide cover those devices.
Rights and Rules
Streaming services license content by country, and their terms may restrict viewing outside your region; a VPN does not change what your subscription allows. DAZN’s sports rights differ by country, which is why the same fight may be on DAZN in one country and not another.
ExpressVPN’s Basic plan covers 10 devices and renews at $99.95 a year, our tables record, with a 30-day refund for new users.
Privacy, Price and Refund
ExpressVPN lists 27 independent audits by May 2026, including three KPMG no-logs reports. Its TrustedServer setup runs servers from memory, so data is wiped at every reboot. Kape owns ExpressVPN, along with CyberGhost and PIA.
For streaming, that matters mostly on shared or public networks, where the VPN keeps your viewing private.
The Basic plan renews at $99.95 a year for 10 devices, our tables record, and new users get 30 days to ask for a refund. That is long enough to test a few weekends of DAZN fixtures on your own connection.
Purchases through Apple’s App Store or Google Play follow those stores’ own refund rules instead.
How We Research
This page draws on Top10VPN’s DAZN VPN tests, VPNAlert’s ExpressVPN DAZN guide and our ExpressVPN tables. We cross-checked these sources against each other, and where they conflict or something can’t be verified, we say so in the text rather than guessing. We checked time-sensitive figures, including prices in US dollars, on 8 October 2026. The main source we relied on is Top10VPN’s DAZN VPN guide. Our full approach lives on the About Us page.
