A Philippine IP helps you reach home services from overseas. That is why FindCheapVPNs lists overseas Filipino workers among the main users. Local streaming apps and news sites that restrict foreign traffic will generally treat a Philippine address as local.
Banking is the exception. Trabahong Online advises keeping GCash and local banking apps on your normal connection, using split tunnelling, so they do not flag an unusual login.
