Can you use a VPN on the Google TV Streamer? Yes, directly. Unlike the Chromecast it replaced in August 2024, the Streamer is a full Google TV box running Android TV 14, and Google TV is an interface on top of Android TV, so VPN apps for Android TV install from Google Play as usual, Gizmodo explains. Casting and the Streamer’s Quirks
