A StrongVPN refund is available only on yearly plans. Comparitech and TechRadar both report a 30-day money-back guarantee for annual subscriptions and none for monthly ones, and GrabOn’s 2026 listing confirms monthly subscribers cannot get money back. Comparitech says support usually replies within hours, and StrongVPN honours a request made inside the window even if the reply comes later.

The Rules by Plan
StrongVPN sells a monthly and a yearly plan, Comparitech notes. GrabOn lists the monthly plan at $11.99 and the yearly plan at about $3.97 a month for the first year, billed roughly $47.69. Only the yearly plan carries the 30-day guarantee. VPN.com adds that StrongVPN has no free trial.
StrongVPN Refund Request Steps
Contact StrongVPN’s support within 30 days of buying the yearly plan. State clearly that you want to use the money-back guarantee and give a short reason, which Comparitech says speeds things up. Comparitech also advises not using the VPN after the 30-day period.
Keep the support reply and watch your statement for the refund.
On a Monthly Plan
Monthly subscribers cannot get a refund, according to TechRadar and GrabOn. If you want to stop, turn off auto-renewal so no new charge arrives; you keep access until the paid month ends. GrabOn suggests a workaround for testing: buy the yearly plan instead and use the 30-day guarantee.
How StrongVPN Compares
NordVPN, Surfshark and Proton VPN give 30 days on every plan, including monthly. CyberGhost gives 45 days on longer plans and 14 on monthly ones. TunnelBear limits refunds to first-year annual plans bought directly, a rule similar to StrongVPN’s. If one service or device is the problem, try support first. StrongVPN allows 12 devices, according to our device table, more than many rivals, so a household setup problem may be fixable without leaving.
StrongVPN Refund Timing
Comparitech describes replies within a few hours and says StrongVPN honours a request made inside the 30 days even if the reply arrives later. The money then returns through your original payment method; bank processing adds its own delay. Write down the date you asked, in case you need to follow up.
Cancelling Without a Refund

If you buy yearly to test, use the time well. Check speed at peak hours, the streaming services you use and every device type you own. Make the decision before day 30 rather than on it. A StrongVPN refund request in the last hour still counts, Comparitech says, but leaving it that late adds stress for no reason.

Payment Method Matters
Refunds return through the original payment method. Card refunds usually show within a few working days, depending on your bank. If you paid through an app store, that store’s refund rules apply instead of StrongVPN’s guarantee, so buy on StrongVPN’s site if you want the guarantee.
