NordVPN and Netflix work together in most tests we read, but the number of libraries depends on who counts. Top10VPN lists the US, UK, Japan and 14 more regions. Does NordVPN Work With Netflix?
Yes, according to every recent review we checked. Cybernews tested in June 2026 and saw no proxy errors in major regions. Top10VPN adds that, in the rare cases one server failed, the next one almost always worked.

Why the Library Counts Differ
Each reviewer tests different countries on different days, so the totals drift. A library that works in June may fail in September. Treat the US, UK and Japan as the reliable core, since all three sources name them, and test the rest yourself.
Comparitech notes a quirk worth knowing. If you connect to a country without a supported library, NordVPN’s DNS proxy returns the US version of Netflix. So the catalogue you see may not match the server’s country.

Fixing the NordVPN and Netflix Proxy Error
The message reads: You seem to be using an unblocker or proxy. Impulsec lists it as error M7111-5059. First, connect to another server in the same country. Second, clear the Netflix app’s cache or the browser’s cookies, because Netflix may remember your real region.

Why You Sometimes Get the US Library
Comparitech explains a quirk of NordVPN’s setup. If you connect to a server in a country Netflix’s SmartPlay does not support, NordVPN’s DNS proxy returns the US version of Netflix instead. That surprises people who expected the local catalogue of the server’s country.
If you want a specific country’s library, check that it is one of the regions sources report working. Top10VPN lists the US, the UK, Japan and about 14 more. Gizmodo counts 18 or more and vpn.com more than 30, so the exact number differs by source.
Netflix on TVs and Streaming Sticks
