Astrill cost is high by VPN standards. Astrill’s pricing page, read on 25 September 2026, lists $30 for one month, $15 a month on a one-year plan billed $180, and $12.50 a month on a two-year plan billed $300. Add-ons cost extra: VIP from $10 a month, with 100 GB of VIP traffic and multi-hop routing, and a private IP. Over four years, our calculation gives $600 on two-year plans against $1,440 paid monthly.

The Plans
Astrill’s page lists three billing options for the same service. One month costs $30. One year costs $180, shown as $15 a month against a struck-through $360. Two years cost $300, shown as $12.50 a month against a struck-through $720. Prices renew at the same rates, according to the page’s every-year and every-two-years wording.
Add-Ons
VIP starts at $10 a month and adds 100 GB of VIP traffic and multi-hop routing, aimed at heavily filtered countries. A private IP is a separate add-on. Most users outside China will not need VIP; those inside may find it useful, as our China VPN guide explains.
Astrill Cost Over Four Years
Using the page’s prices, two two-year plans cost $600, four one-year plans $720, and 48 monthly payments $1,440. The two-year plan saves the most, but commits you for longest without a clear refund.
How It Compares

Monthly Astrill Cost as a Trial
With refund terms disputed, the $30 monthly plan is the safest way to test Astrill cost against your needs. Use the month to check speed, StealthVPN on your networks and the apps you need, then move to a longer plan only if it works. That single month costs less than a wrong two-year commitment.
Payment Methods
Astrill’s page accepts cards, PayPal, Bitcoin, Monero and bank transfer, and registration asks only for a name and email. That suits users who want to pay without a card.
Refunds and Trials
Sources disagree. VpnMentor, VPNOverview, Wizcase and TheBestVPN report no refunds, while VPN.com and GreatFirewallGuide mention seven days. Wizcase notes a free trial available by email request. A Note on Sources
VpnMentor, one of the reviewers cited on refunds, belongs to Kape Technologies, which also owns ExpressVPN and CyberGhost. NordVPN and Surfshark, in our comparison table, share an owner, Nord Security. Ownership does not make a source wrong, but it is worth knowing when weighing claims about rivals.
Devices
The pricing page says unlimited devices in your household, while Security.org, VPN.com and Wizcase report five simultaneous connections. Check the plan details if you need many devices at once.
App Store Purchases
Astrill’s App Store listing warns that accounts bought there work only on iPhone and iPad. Buy on the website for use across computers and routers, as our Astrill iPhone guide explains.
Cutting the Cost
Pay for two years only once you know Astrill works where you need it. Skip VIP unless you face heavy filtering. Use one website account across devices rather than separate App Store purchases. And compare against our Proton VPN price guide, which covers an audited provider with a free plan.
Astrill Cost for Households
The pricing page promises unlimited devices in a household, but reviewers report a five-connection limit. A family with many devices should check the current terms, since the Astrill cost per device changes sharply with that limit. Astrill’s strength is getting through heavy filtering: GreatFirewallGuide rated it 98% on China Telecom’s CN2 GIA network, with StealthVPN, OpenWeb and WireGuard among its protocols.
