The IPVanish price depends mostly on how long you commit. VPNOverview lists the two-year Essential plan at $2.19 a month, billed $57.22 for the first 24 months, the one-year plan at $3.33 a month, billed $43.54, and the monthly plan at $12.99. Both long plans renew at $89.99 a year, so the headline price applies only to the first term.
This guide breaks down each plan, the renewal, the two tiers, refunds and trials, and what you get for the money: unlimited devices, a SOCKS5 proxy and a network of servers IPVanish owns rather than rents.
IPVanish Price by Plan
At $2.19 a month, billed as $57.22 up front, the two-year plan is the cheapest per month. A one-year plan costs $3.33 a month, billed as $43.54, which is cheaper to start but dearer per month. At $12.99, the monthly plan suits a short trip or a test, though the refund window makes it less necessary.
All prices come from VPNOverview’s 2026 review and change with promotions. Check the checkout page, which shows both the first charge and the renewal line, before paying. Prices outside the US may differ, and app store purchases follow the store’s own pricing.

The Renewal Price
After the first term, both the one-year and two-year plans renew at $89.99 a year, VPNOverview and our renewal table record. That is about $7.50 a month, more than three times the two-year promotional rate. The jump is common across the industry, but it is large here.
To keep the low price, some users cancel before renewal and buy a new promotional term, though providers do not guarantee new deals to returning customers. Our renewal price guide compares how IPVanish’s renewal sits against other providers.
Essential and Advanced
IPVanish sells two tiers. Essential covers the VPN itself. Advanced, at $4.58 a month on the yearly plan according to VPNpro, adds extras on top of the VPN. Most users who want only the VPN can stay on Essential.
Before upgrading, compare the extras with tools you already pay for, such as a password manager or cloud backup. Paying twice for the same feature is the most common way a VPN bundle ends up costing more than it saves.

What the Money Buys
Every plan allows unlimited devices, our device table records, so one subscription covers a whole household. IPVanish owns its 3,200 to 3,400 servers rather than renting them, Top10VPN and VPNpro note, and VPNpro counts 568 RAM-only servers across 19 locations.
Plans also include a SOCKS5 proxy on more than 25 servers in 14 countries, VPNAlert reports, and P2P on every server. Two audits, by Leviathan and Schellman, sit behind its no-logs claim in our audit table. Our VPN servers guide explains why owned and RAM-only servers matter.
Refunds and the Free Trial
IPVanish offers a 30-day refund on its plans, our refund table records. VPNOverview also reports a seven-day free trial on yearly plans in 2026, and app store subscriptions can carry a seven-day trial of their own.
The trial and refund together give enough time to test streaming, speeds and your devices before the money is final. Our free VPN trial guide explains how trials and refund windows differ, and which to rely on.
IPVanish Price Over Four Years
On the two-year plan, the $57.22 first term covers two years before the first $89.99 renewal. On the yearly plan, the $43.54 first term covers only one, so renewals start a year earlier. Over four years, the two-year start costs noticeably less. Our guide to Cancelling IPVanish covers stopping renewal, the 30-day refund and App Stores.
Over the same four years, a household with many devices pays nothing extra, since there is no device cap. That is where IPVanish’s price looks strongest: per device, it is hard to beat for families. Our guide to IPVanish on Windows covers a strict kill switch, split tunnelling and Double Hop.

Getting the Lowest IPVanish Price
Buy the two-year plan for the lowest monthly rate. Seasonal sales sometimes change the first-term price, though the regular deal is often close to the sale price, as our Black Friday VPN guide explains. Pay by card or another method that supports refunds, so the 30-day window stays useful.
Buying through an app store can cost more and follows the store’s refund rules instead of IPVanish’s. Set a reminder a few weeks before renewal, so you can decide on the $89.99 charge rather than discovering it on your statement. Our guide to IPVanish for Mac covers setup, the macOS permission and settings to check.
How It Compares
IPVanish’s renewal sits between budget providers and premium ones. CyberGhost renews at $56.94 and PureVPN at $47.95, our tables record, while ExpressVPN renews at $99.95; CyberGhost and ExpressVPN both belong to Kape. Among unlimited-device services, it competes with PIA, Surfshark and TunnelBear. Our IPVanish alternatives page goes into five picks matched to why you are leaving.
If you need unlimited devices and SOCKS5, few rivals match the mix. If you need only one or two devices, a cheaper renewal elsewhere may suit you better. Our unlimited devices guide compares the options.
How We Research
This page draws on VPNOverview’s, VPNpro’s and Top10VPN’s 2026 IPVanish reviews, VPNAlert on SOCKS5 and our renewal, refund, device and audit tables. We cross-checked these sources against each other, and where they conflict or something can’t be verified, we say so in the text rather than guessing. We checked time-sensitive figures, including prices in US dollars, on 8 October 2026. The main source we relied on is VPNOverview’s IPVanish review. Our full approach lives on the About Us page.
