On 25 September 2026, Basic cost $3.49 a month on the 2-year plan, billed $94.23 for the first 27 months. The catch is the renewal: $139.08 a year after that. This guide shows the real numbers and what to check before you paste any code.
What the NordVPN Deal Costs
NordVPN’s pricing page listed three tiers. Basic cost $94.23 for 27 months, Complete $121.23 and Prime $202.23. The 1-year Basic plan cost $65.88 for 12 months, and the monthly plan $14.99.

Do NordVPN Coupon Codes Work?

After 27 months, Basic renews at $139.08 a year, about 3.3× the intro rate after 27 months. Complete renews at $219.48 and Prime at $296.28. The 1-year Basic plan renews at the same $139.08, so the 2-year deal gives you more months before that happens.

What the Strike-Through Price Means
NordVPN’s checkout shows a crossed-out price next to the deal. By our calculation, that figure equals 27 months at the renewal rate. For Basic, that is about $312.93, against the $94.23 you pay for the first 27 months.
The comparison is real in one sense: renewing would cost that much over the same period. But nobody pays the crossed-out price up front, so read it as the renewal warning it is.
How Much the Price Rises
After the first 27 months, Basic renews at $139.08 a year, about $11.59 a month. That is roughly 3.3 times the introductory rate. Complete rises about 4.1 times and Prime about 3.3 times, by our calculation.
The one-year Basic plan doubles after 12 months, from $65.88 to $139.08. Over two years, the two-year plan costs $94.23 against $204.96 for the one-year plan renewed once.
Monthly Versus Long Plans
Monthly Basic costs $14.99. Twelve months of that is $179.88, more than a year of renewal at $139.08. For anyone staying longer than a few months, a long plan wins even after the price rises.
