TorGuard Cost (2026): Standard, Pro and Premium Plans Explained

TorGuard cost depends on the plan and on where you buy. Security.org lists monthly billing at $10.99 for Anonymous VPN Standard, $14.29 for Pro and $16.49 for Premium. Longer cycles, up to three years, lower the monthly rate. The App Store shows a different grid, starting at $12.99 a month. The refund window is just seven days, and reviewers describe it as decided case by case.

This guide covers the plans, what each adds, the long-term prices and the refund rules.

The Plans

Security.org lists three personal plans: Anonymous VPN Standard, Pro and Premium. Fahimai, verifying prices in September 2026, says Standard covers eight simultaneous connections, while Pro raises that to 12 and adds a dedicated IP. Security.org found Standard had no streaming options and moved to Pro for that reason.

TorGuard Cost Over Longer Terms

TorGuard bills monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, every two years or every three years, Fahimai notes, with the monthly rate falling as the term grows. Sources disagree on the three-year Pro figure: Security.org puts it at about $10 a month, while Fahimai says some review sites list it near $6.94. Check the checkout before choosing a long term.

Fahimai adds that Pro and Premium annual plans include a free router, which changes the value for households that want a VPN router.

App Store Pricing Is Different

TorGuard’s App Store listing shows $12.99 monthly, $25.99 quarterly, $38.99 semi-annually and $77.99 yearly, with five devices and a seven-day free trial through Apple. That is a separate grid from the website, with fewer devices than Standard’s eight. If you want the website’s terms, buy there and sign in on your phone. Our page on TorGuard free options covers the App Store trial and the seven-day refund.

Refunds

Security.org got a refund within four business days after requesting it through a support ticket inside the seven-day window. Fahimai describes the window as reviewed case by case, with many exceptions. ProPrivacy noted that dedicated IP purchases are not refunded. Our guide to cancelling and refunds covers the general steps. Our page on TorGuard refunds covers the seven-day window, dedicated IP exclusions and how to ask.

Payment Methods

TorGuard accepts Bitcoin and gift cards alongside standard methods, Fahimai notes, which suits users who prefer not to pay by card. Our TorGuard iPhone guide explains how to use a website account on a phone.

Add-Ons

Dedicated IPs, streaming IPs and residential IPs are sold as extras on lower plans. Fahimai warns that add-ons stack quickly, so a TorGuard subscription often costs more than the headline price. Our dedicated IP guide explains when one is worth paying for.

Is TorGuard Cost Worth It?

For torrenting and restrictive networks, TorGuard’s port forwarding and Stealth modes justify a mid-market price. GreatFirewallGuide ranked it second for China in 2026. For streaming, the Pro plan is the realistic minimum, which lifts the monthly TorGuard cost to $14.29 on monthly billing, per Security.org.

Which TorGuard Plan to Choose

Torrenting and general privacy: Standard is enough. Streaming or a dedicated IP: Pro. A VPN router at home: Pro or Premium on an annual plan, since Fahimai says those include a free router. Our TorGuard router guide covers router setup.

Testing Within Seven Days

Seven days is short, so plan the test before you pay. Check streaming, torrenting with port forwarding, Stealth on your slowest network and every device you plan to use. Our TorGuard Windows guide covers the client’s defaults worth changing on day one.

Cutting the Cost

Choose the shortest term that covers your test, since the refund window is only seven days. Skip add-ons until you know you need them, because Fahimai warns they stack quickly. Buy on the website rather than the App Store for more devices per plan. And if you want a router, compare the annual Pro or Premium plan, which Fahimai says includes one. Our NordVPN vs TorGuard page shows how a TorGuard cost compares with a bigger rival.

TorGuard Cost for Teams

TorGuard also sells business plans, Fahimai notes, alongside its personal VPN and email products. Businesses should check those separately, since the personal TorGuard cost covers individual use. Our guide to TorGuard and Netflix covers standard servers against the Pro streaming IP.

How TorGuard Cost Compares

Our renewal table puts CyberGhost at $56.94 a year, Surfshark at about $79 and NordVPN Basic at $139.08, each with at least a 30-day refund window; NordVPN and Surfshark share an owner, Nord Security. TorGuard’s shorter window makes testing harder. Our renewal price guide and guide to VPN prices compare the market.

How We Research

This page draws on Security.org’s TorGuard pricing guide, Fahimai’s comparisons with prices verified in September, TorGuard’s App Store listing, ProPrivacy’s TorGuard review and our renewal and audit tables. We cross-checked these sources against each other, and where they conflict or something can’t be verified, we say so in the text rather than guessing. We checked time-sensitive figures, including prices in US dollars, on 7 October 2026. Sources disagree on long-term TorGuard prices; check the checkout. The main source we relied on is Security.org’s TorGuard guide. Our full approach lives on the About Us page.
