Privacy: An Audit and a Jurisdiction Against a Lawsuit
Hide.me has an audit from 2024, and the VPN Trust Initiative re-accredited it in 2026; sources name the auditor as Securitum or Altius IT. eVenture Ltd runs it from Labuan, Malaysia, and its servers are self-managed rather than rented.
TorGuard’s evidence is conduct rather than verification. When roughly twenty-five studios sued, it settled in March 2022 by blocking BitTorrent on its US servers and disclosed no customer records. TorGuard’s interface is the recurring complaint in its reviews, though its settings reach further, into stealth modes and dedicated IP management.
